East Meets West In Melaka

Rotaractor Allen Tang of Rotaract Club of Singapore City, an ambassadorial scholar 2007-2008 from Texas, disembarked in Melaka with four guest from Japan on 4th January. During these three days, Rtr Allen and guests were introduced to the historical city of Melaka and the ever scrumptious Malaysian food. In exchange, we learn about the culture of Texas from Rtr Allen and Japanese culture from the guests namely: Tomoyo, Sato, Gata, and Miyuki. From tasting pungent durian cendol to ABC, from walking the streets of Jonker to St Paul, they experience all that Melaka has to offer.

After a merriment Saturday, fifty Rotaractors from He Lingnan University & Baptist University in Hong Kong arrive on the soil of Melaka on Sunday, 6th January. These passionate fifty rotaractors from Hong Kong flew to KL to participate in a community service and to learn the culture of Malaysia in Melaka. The rotaractors scaled the St Paul Hill and visited the ruins of Portugese remnants.
