Exciting news! The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is to be held in Sabah this year.
Venue : Sepilok Jungle Resort
Dates : 9th – 12th March, 2007 (Friday-Monday)
Registration Fees : RM350/= per pax
Closing Date : 4th March, 2007

Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is an intensive training program for youth ages 14-30. The RYLA camp for the State of Sabah in 2007 is organised by the Rotary Club of Sandakan and will be held at the Sepilok Jungle Resort, Sandakan between 9th Mac and 12th Mac. RYLA events are for young adults with proven leadership experience and potential leaders from diverse backgrounds. Whether you are a school student, university student, or young professional, RYLA provides a unique opportunity to learn, grow, have fun and make friends. The RYLA experience prepares young people to be leaders in their community, profession, and other facets of everyday life.
The 2007 RYLA program includes seminars, field trips and fun activities like:
Seminars: Rotary Information & RYLA, Lead The Way - Social Work & Community Service, Conserving the Environment , Sabah History, Culture & Geography, Crime & Punishment, and Communication & Effective Leadership - *Making a difference*
Field Trips: Old Folks Home, AGAPE, Early Intervention, Hospice, Cheshire & Forestry Research & Sepilok Rehab CentreWorkshops: First Aid Treatments, Basic Self Defence, Reflexology, learning Local Cultural Dance & Songs (part 1 & 2), Defense Training - Physical Endurance, and Public Speaking.
Fun Activties: BBQ, Yoga, Tai Chi and Silat
